I paint with acrylics, oils and watercolors. I love to play with colors, paint faces from my head, mimic different art styles, create parodies and portraits that make me laugh, and sometimes just smash mediums around to see what happens. I paint the things I love. This exhibit features paintings from the past ten years of my life.
Artists Biography
I am a full-time freelance artist. I love creating acrylic and oil painting mashups of pop culture and notable art pieces; parody art has always made me laugh. I also love playing with mixed media pieces and experimenting with different colors and mediums. I grew up with a wonderful, supportive artist mom and an intense love for video games, so my college and career years were focused on combining my two greatest passions: I worked as an artist at Nintendo! I left that industry to return to my love of painting and creating art for myself. I love colors and silliness!
I am struggling with a chronic pain condition (CRPS) that is severely limiting my ability to physically paint. I have kept up a "tiny painting of the month club" for over 85 months now, but outside of that I am not able to do much. Using a left-handed mouse and keyboard setup, I am able to find new ways to express myself creatively in the world of Second Life - including bringing my paintings into my universe here!

Artists Biography
Selen is a French digital artist. She grew up with an architect, painter and sculptor father, maybe that's why she has always loved art in all its forms. She tried her hand drawing, painting (watercolor) and sculpture (clay) when she was younger. Then later she discovered different immersive platforms of the Metaverse - Second Life being the first and remaining the main one - and with them endless possibilities to create digitally. She was introduced to many multimedia tools, from those of Adobe's creative cloud to Krita, Gimp and others. This is how she started to create and develop her own universe, through digital photography, mixed media works, installations including 3D digital sculptures and videos/machinimas. She defines herself as a storyteller and an explorer. Also a dreamer. She follows instinctively and emotionally her inner journey, always in motion to experiment, discover, question, juxtapose.
